Order of the Arrow Obligation

I do hereby promise, on my honor as a Scout, to always and faithfully observe and preserve the traditions of the Order of the Arrow, Wimachtendienk, Wingolausik, Witahemui.

I will always regard the ties of brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow as lasting, and will seek to preserve a cheerful spirit, even in the midst of irksome tasks and weighty responsibilities, and will endeavor, so far as in my power lies, to be unselfish in service and devotion to the welfare of others.

Purpose of The Order of the Arrow.

1. To recognize those campers- Scouts, Venture's, and Scouters- who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives and by such recognition cause other campers to conduct themselves in such a manner as to warrant recognition.

2. To develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit.

3. To promote scout camping, which relates its greatest effectiveness as a part of the unit's camping program. To help strengthen District and Council camping programs both during the year and in summer camp, as directed by the Council Camping Committee.

4. To crystallize the scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.

Mission of the Lodge

The mission of the Lodge is to achieve the purpose of the Order of the Arrow as an integral part of the Boy Scouts of America in the council through positive youth leadership under guidance of selected capable adults.
